Over 60% of the children attending Camp Olmsted receive some level of financial assistance. Our camp fee is $800 per camper per session, while our actual costs are over $1,500 per child. Even with this highly subsidized fee, it is still far above the means of many of the families we serve.  Donations help Five Points Mission provide the necessary financial assistance (in the form of full and partial scholarships) and program support to ensure “Camp Olmsted” provides the summer of a lifetime.

Consider the many ways your donation can make a difference at Olmsted :

  • A donation of $800 provides a full scholarship for one session (12 days) of Overnight Camp to a child in need

  • A donation of $500 provides a new computer for our Creative Center

  • A donation of $400 provides a full scholarship for one week of day camp

  • A donation of $200 provides a session worth of supplies for a group of campers

  • A donation of $75 provides a care package of necessities to a camper who doesn't have sheets, soap, toothpaste, socks etc.

The retreat program at Olmsted serves an average of 1,200 – 1,400 persons per year. Our retreat participants include church groups, youth groups, not for profit organizations, fraternal groups and shared interest groups that use our facilities for special activities. With consistent use by such a diverse range of participants, our facilities are in constant need of repair and maintenance.  Your donation can help defray some of these costs and help us keep our facilities in top shape.

The Anna P. Delson Fund supports the Five Points Mission camp scholarship program, helping children experience the joy of attending Camp Olmsted.

Anna grew up in North Dakota, where summer camp was a cherished highlight of her childhood. A dedicated teacher for over 30 years, Anna was also a devoted member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church for more than five decades. She was a founding member of the church's rummage sale team, tirelessly working to ensure the proceeds could send children to Camp Olmsted each summer.

When the COVID-19 pandemic forced the church to go remote and the rummage sale was canceled, Anna's children established this fund in 2021 to honor their mother’s enduring legacy. The fund ensures that her heartfelt wish—that every child could have the opportunity to attend camp—continues to bring joy to young lives.
